I'll talk to dad this weekend to see if a two piece "Millers" could be created using a smaller diameter tube which could be welded inside the existing handle to create a strong slotting removable joint. How would that be? How long would you want the two pieces?
That would be a good idea - perhaps equal two lenghts.
