There is a message in all this and that is that at 74, however "correctly" I live, I am near the exit door. Might be 10 years, might be 20 but its nearer the exit than the entrance by a long way.
I'm 68 next birthday and the "take home" from the experience on Thursday evening is exactly as you have said.
Sobering to realise that if I live another 20 years it is "only" 7300 days, compared with the 24,820 days I've experienced.
Clearly the objective is to extract as much fun as possible and avoid things that waste the day, like going into hospital!
