I've heard that the high seating position is something to do with being able to see over the bonnet, presumably to stop us driving over wayward children or drunks lying in the road. I don't know about you but I haven't driven over any of the aforementioned in 40 years of Morgan driving. That said my wife and I came as close as it is possible to being taken out by the driver of a van coming out of a side road last week. I guess we need someone to become familiar with

This will be difficult as there's not much scope for lowering the seat and still providing runners for adjustment.
Looking at the CX chassis/platform picture on the MMC site it appears that the floor level is level with the bottom of the wooden frame. On a trad model the frame sits on the top of the upper flange of the chassis whilst the floor boards sit on the lower one. Got a tin opener anyone? That seat's still enough to put me off buying the car
