Harleys also counterbalance their engines a lot better than the S&S. I am also pleasantly surprised when I get on my 2017 Road king with the Milwaukee 8 engine how smooth it is. Although I did test drive a Softail deluxe with the bigger 114 engine (and Softails have a more fixed mounting system and different counter balancing) and found the vibration annoying.
