Pleased you like them John and I think the first set fitted with 4 seater springs!
When we got home and there was a witness mark around 10mm round, on each side in the Denso Tape that my springs are bound with. I’m not sure if that means that I need to up the shockers a click or wind the bump stops up a bit. Any thoughts?
My thoughts but these bump assists are new and I’m no expert….. Ideally for max comfort the stops should be set as high as possible whilst still limiting the body movement enough to just prevent any body contact. That way it minimises the loads on the stops and hoop. I suspect every car might be different and it could take some time to optimise them if that were the goal. I think the shock setting is a personal choice once the suspension is constrained by the stops, just tune them for comfort or handling. Also the elastomer stops will be absorbing energy too so hopefully assisting the shocks a little. You may notice a subtle reduction in that annoying rear end jiggly motion on choppy roads.
