I think it is just GREAT that you can enjoy aspects of your Morgan any which way you can (-:
I came to Morgan ownership searching for other than outright performance I was looking for far MORE than that, and strange as it might seem at a lesser speed then that of my previous recreational vehicle of choice, which was a BMW R850R m/cycle. A pal was a Honda dealer thus I had access to try out the VFR of the time which I determined was a licence shredder disguise, for to arrive at that point in the rev range where it sounded fantastic was HOW MANY MPH..!!!! The Beemer was a whole different package that could corner as well as if not better than many of the bikes I met on the road...without encouraging me to get involved in too many attempts at re-acting my yoof.. (-:
Prior to that I had circa 10 years of involvement with 911s, I was even fortunate enough to be the first private individual in the UK to test drive the then new 993 which was launched at Cameron House Hotel on the shores of Loch Lomond, and at the time when compared to my then 10 year old 911 It again was quieter, smoother more sophisticated, more powerful and with improved road holding and low down grunt than my old car... in effect another potential licence shredder..Hmm..? I held on to my old 911 for a while after that in that it provided more feed back to me than did the 993.
Winter m/cycling got the better of my knees and on following a Vintage Bentley driven enthusiastically, I arrived at Morgan ownership for fun mileage which kept my knees reasonably warm and also provided a RAW enough motoring experience while at or around 60mph on interesting and twisting roads.... Add to that the rumble of the V8 that can growl too on occasion, and the sounds department was well catered for too..With perhaps 150HP available on vintage suspension, my old +8 can provide more than enough excitement for an old duffer such as I...

As for 911s..? I think they may now be pumping out circa 400hp or more and with the latest in on board digitisation required keep it on the Tarmac... NOT what I am looking for in a recreational vehicle... Evolution is interesting is it not..?
For as long as I can get in and out of it I guess I will stick with my non digital purely manually operated and controlled +8 , each to their own..?
