I never had any back pain. But six years ago, within a few weeks, so much so that a chiropractor could no longer help. One night the pain was suddenly so severe that I screamed out loud. My left foot was numb and without muscle power and I was suddenly slightly incontinent. I went to the hospital, got strong painkillers and very quickly an MRI without waiting.
That night a disc had jumped out and had squeezed the nerve.

I was operated in another hospital only one week later microsurgically. For one day I had full sensory and muscular motor function again. Since day 2 after the operation my left foot is numb under the sole. But I never had pain again and the muscle strength is also ok. After the operation I had two months of outpatient rehabilitation and since then I have been doing nordic walking and things like that.
Back then, the surgeon told me after the surgery that the feeling was coming back and that it was just a hematoma that was receding. But I waited too long. After six years of no loud complaining I am more and more disturbed by the numbness.

Recently I wonder if I should have another operation because of the numb sole of my foot.
