Mine had a ground fault; the cable that connects the negative terminal to the grounding spot in front of the oil tank. There was red plastic material spilling over and insulating the connector from the metal anchoring bolt. But if this was his problem, I would expect him to be able to jump from another battery, so not likely his problem. Damn these experiences!
