Just a little comment on this, which has already had a response from Graham. In posting the image using the image insert button Colin actually did everything correctly but the forum software, for reasons best known to the developers, puts up "http://" as some sort of prompt. In order to post a direct link to an image it is necessary that only one "http://" or "https://" appears so it is usually necessary to delete the automatic "http://" before pasting the link to the image.

In the case of tm-img.com, and most image hosting sites, provision is made for copying the complete necessary BBCode ready formatted with the tags for inserting directly in to the text of a post without using the image button.
