I must admit to finding the DDG was blind to a lot of the more esoteric stuff I get involved in as well. I use it for more interesting stuff and just resort to Google for general work. Lets face it, as mentioned above, they have us tracked to the nines anyway.
(anyone going to fess up to buying that speaker cable at 1.5m for £249, I hope thats a pair as well!)
