Hi Chris, I have just bought a Morgan aerial (From Rutters) and yet to fit it. Would be grateful if you could take some external measurements from suitable body/fittings reference points to prevent me making a drilling mistake. As I understand it there will be 3 x holes, the bottom one goes into the ash frame as may well the top one, the other hole were the cable is routed through is in the body panel just above the ash frame were the mount hole is drilled?
As regards you radio/cd. I was advised by most that a cd is next to useless for the very reasons you have outlined, ie 'Skipping'. Also with a lot of radios now receiving DAB it makes life more difficult for picking up analogue signals. I have gone for a 'Splitter' which enables DAB signals to be routed through the original aerial to the head unit. Also the head unit I bought is a DAB classic look Blaupunkt SQR 46 which doesn't have a CD but a front USB and SD Card port and can Bluetooth connect to an external device, I Phone etc.
Hope this may be useful to you.
John
