Our 2008 Roadster had this problem and the plug in diagnostics showed a problem with fuel vapour near the tank.
It took about 4 goes before the dealer changed a seal on the tank and now the problem is fixed. This was also a known issue at MMC but took nearly 2 years to fix!
Still, all OK now, good luck, and I hope your fix is quicker.
