On my hotwire plus 8 I did experience a situation where it would not start and there was no power to the ecu, fuel, and ignition. The problem was down to a bad connection - a white plug and socket, connecting the Morgan and Land Rover harnesses. under the dash, to the far right hand side, it was a nine way plug and socket, although not all ways were populated
A spray with contact cleaner and all has been well.
