There will be a vaccine in due course, but it is very unlikely to make the "Flu Jab" before winter 2021, by which time a lot won't be around to benefit.
A couple of interesting statistics reported in the press today. 70% of the male fatalities in the UK were obese and or had Type II diabetes, or both as underlying medical conditions. The distribution of deaths is also biased towards men. I'd like to see confirmation of that report.
