An article here in an Australian newspaper on two door soft top cars recently noted $A85k for an Audi, $A119k Porsche, $A99k Merc, $A85k BMW and with all the features which come with them.
You would then have to wonder who the buyers will be of the very few traditional chassis current V6 Morgans still available here at around $A170k & in the future likely something north of $A225k+ is the gossip if the newest plus 6 ever get here.
Even the new plus 4 model relative to these prices will be a far cry in price from Morgan’s reasonably affordable history to most of us aficionados.
When listening to Richard Hammond picking up his Morgan on the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geUg4U7ru4Y his friend says "you don't buy a Morgan, you become part of the family" which is an interesting way of looking at it.
Hammond says, "I love my new toy" and perhaps that seems to sum it up.
The end of an era and much as we love our ancient affordable Morgans , we wait to see what evolves.
