@planenut - is that a whole group of working Lightnings in one formation? Good grief how did they find that many working AND afford the gasoline at the same time.
In the 3 years I was at RAF Binbrook I only remember seeing that many Lightnings all serviceable and in the same bit of sky at the same time 2 or 3 times. It was always an impressive aircraft and the manhours of servicing to flying were also impressive but for the wrong reasons!
