Oh I don't believe it - so the new cylinder doesn't fit either. I tried to save a few bob by using a BWC5099 cylinders and they have a wider spacing on the locating lug, but more importantly they have a wider body, and have an extra length of cylinder on the left, whereas the original have an extra length of cylinder on the right. I'm not taking a risk on brakes, so back to the drawing board.

Has anybody actually fitted reasonably priced cylinders and shoes on a post 93 morgan without paying morgan prices? And if so which parts did you use please.

There are three bonuses in this sorry tale - I now know a lot more about the brakes at the back, the suspect cylinder was rusted solid on one side so needs replacing anyway, and i have found a cracked handbrake cable sheath so I can clean and oil that and wrap in tape before that breaks.

But I am VERY frustrated!
