Ok thanks, I assume that moves the wheel closer to the dashboard, so are you replacing a standard part with a shorter home built part?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the spacers do the opposite: they move the steering wheel
away from the dashboard.
There are two reasons to do so:
A) you have short arms, and as the seats can't move forward, you need the steering wheel to get closer to you.
B) you are tall so have long legs, and want to rest the left leg while driving bending the knee high so you can "flat your foot". And you can't because the steering wheel is too close to the dashboard so you don't have room for the knee to come up.
