Neat idea.
As for only being suitable on left hand drive Morgans, that depends on which side the hand brake lever is - my present car has it on the right hand side of the tunnel
However, on my other two where the handbrake was on the left, it was easiest to reach around the back of the gear lever to apply the brake.
