If you have the oval-ish, flat mirrors, consider yourself lucky to have a possibility to get rid of them, as they are crap. The vision is bad, so is the chrome. Heart of England, Morganhoods and others make them in stainless steel, convex. It is a huge improvement, both in rear vision and design. You can get the whole thing (mirror/stem + base) in stainless, but they are also sold separately. I have got HoE (large version), very happy. I also changed the OEM centre screen mirror for a HoE, small size (that's sufficient) and convex. Believe it or not, changing that mirror is the best mod I done on my car, considering functionality, aestethics and cost/benefit. All three mirrors highly reecommended. The large version HoE door mirror is a bit fiddly to get the right angle, but the design is very nice.
