Anyone know the 70 year old driver of his grey Plus 4 was who was fatally injured last Friday night at Havant.
His car hit a lamppost and overturned on the junction of Portsdown Hill Road and Nelson Road in a single vehicle accident.
Just wondering if he was a TM or MSCC member.
I'm sure all our thoughts and condolences are with his family.
I feel for the family, I can't imagine how they feel. But their grief would be easier to bear if the media and the police got the facts right.
There is no junction between Nelson Road and Portsdown Hill Road. There is one with Nelson Lane, it crosses Portsdown Hill Road.
Portsdown Hill Road runs along the ridge, behind Portsmouth and in front of the old Napoleonic Forts and there are quite a number of accidents.
Looking on the Hampshire Police website they confirm the car hit a single lamp post on a crossing island, the road is unlit.
Sounds correct, but using Google Maps it is clear that there are no light bollards or posts at that Junction.
This is the site of the accident.
