Got a welding magnet so thought I'd give it a go - picked up lots of washers and stuff but no joy.
Had a good ferret around to see if it was sat on a chassis rail or caught in the engine mount bracket but again nothing,
Then, managed to get my little finger into one of the casting voids on top on the oil pump housing and there she was!!!!
Managed to 'magnetise' a small screwdriver to stick in the gap and got her out.
I knew that would happen immediately after ordering a replacement, but one can never have too many spares
