Watching Stumptown on telly, and what should come up on the soundtrack but a long-forgotten song from my youth, 1978's 'Whole Wide World' from Wreckless Eric (Remember the legendary Stiffs Tour, anyone?). Couldn't find a decent live video on YT (I don't think they did much videoing at gigs 40 years ago), but Cage the Elephant do a very good cover of it, I think.
Great stuff. I saw him at the 100 Club about ten years ago, he was terrific.
