I love my S2, and will probably never replace it for another Morgan, it is a keeper. Yes, the clutch is on the heavy side, but I like that and I am not bothered by it (strong guy!). With left foot nowhere to go but sit on the clutch pedal, it is good it is a bit heavy.
Indeed 1st gear ratio not good. Box could shift a bit smoother. What I do not like is the dual mass flywheel. As Steward says, you learn to live with it. The Williams remap is a must imo.
I drive in winter too, and the engine heat, makes it very comfy.
