On the Salisbury axle there are small holes in the side not far from the grease nipple. On my 4/4 they were pointing forward and on the front side. Keep them clear. When you grease these nipples look for a small “worm” of grease coming out of those holes. That is enough grease. The holes are small, if I remember correctly about 1 to 2 mm max.
