I picked up my M3W 6 weeks ago with 186 miles on it. However, the dealer had it in stock for 2 years. Prior to delivery, the dealer performed an oil change.
I've now hit the 500 mile mile threshold and I see that the S&S manual recommends changing the oil at 500 miles. Is it worth it to change it again? I'm leaning towards running it the rest of the season and changing it over the winter. On a similar thought, if the oil is drained at the end of the season, would it be wise to not refill until ready to drive in the spring to prevent sumping oil drips? I would tape an obvious "ADD OIL" sign on the dash covering the starter switch to prevent running without oil.
