All in all, it depends a lot on how much you drive. My HD can easily have a couple of oil changes in a season, my wife's HD is not riden as much. On any motorcycle engine I have that is not used a lot I normally do an end of season change so that it is really clean oil over the "not used as much" season. Thankfully winters are relatively mild here, so I get in an occasional drive.
