BmGermany, as DeeJay states: take your time, do some measurements. I have posted a way to do it further up in this thread. You might also take the "lid" off the wiper gear box to see what sweep angle you actually have at the moment - for a reference. If the wiper fouls the upper and/or outer frame, you have only two choices: trim down the distal end of the wiper or get an adjustable arm. If you manage buy cutting without destroying the wiper - fine, but I don't think you gain much although you are the one to see wether it is enough. If not, an adjustable arm is the solution. They are super easy to set up, adjust and readjust if needed. Now if they foul the lower edge, again you have two choices: cut the wiper (will it be enough?) or change gear. If you end up changing gear, to decide the new angle measure as I have explained in another post. Good luck with the project, you will get it right in the end.
