Hi sospan when I had my TVR I had a mate make a stick on number plate which I put on the bonnet so I could remove the one covering 30% of the intake that worked a treat but that isn’t an option with Morgan’s as you know so your plan sounds like a good one I’d be interested in the end result , the aluminium rad and larger fan in mine have made a huge difference especially in slow traffic
