Obie - and JohnMat - you were right! My initial anger made me see things that are not. My support is broken, that's not good news. But fortunately the two pieces were originally welded by the internal side / face, so when the weld spots (two tiny sparks) broke - I guess that the vibrations were too much for a couple of fragile tiny welding spots - the part holding the filter remained hanging from the Ω-shaped bracket that is screwed behind the backrest. Unfortunate to have the piece broken, fortunate design. Otherwise the filter would have fall on the drive belt just by the shock absorber. Could have be a disaster.
