I fitted a remote greasing greasing kit a few months ago.
A week ago, on a grease and inspection job, I noticed that, inevitably I guess, I fitted the plastic pipe incorrectly, and it had snapped off.
So, yesterday, I tried to repair the pipe, and of course, snapped the fitting. I managed to get the stub of the fitting out of the hub, but I've no idea of the thread size I need to replace it.
Help please! 1992 4/4 4str.
I strongly advice to get Cain's swivel type fittings. They are smaller,much easier to fit and to connect to the pipe - you just push it in. They are flexible so they permit you to route the pipes in the angle you whish, and they move more or less freely as you turn the steering wheel. Cain has fittings that go to the top of the king pin as well, if you happen to have a grease nipple there too. However, as there is less motion there I do not really think it is needed. But if you decide to change, remember that the thread size is different. Cain will help you.
