A replica Alpha was made by them for the owner of an original car. Why? The original was so expensive it couldn’t be taken out on the road. Hence a replica so he could drive “it”.
I could never own a car that I couldn’t drive.
As for the Vanwall, I seem to remember replicas available a few years ago. Circa £150k for a turnkey version but kit form too. Not a continuation as such. Just a replica.
If you are a genuine car is the only way person then is it like apiece of art? Huge cost for something to look at. It’s a CAR! Cars are for driving! I can understand individual cars with great heritage being museum pieces but they are a rarity in my view.
