Having memories of way too many myopic drivers, I bought a bright set of leathers with armoured patches on knees, elbows, shoulders etc... We sure don`t bounce on Tarmac as well as we once used to... So do take care and enjoy your m/cycling.

I was very fond of my BMW R850R, and thought it the best bike I ever owned. I still have my leathers in the garage attic, thinking I may make use of them again....someday...Hmm..??

Likely you will find that leather shrinks when not used. Mine did for sure.

But flashy though that bike is, whatever happend to the LJK Setright idea that bikes should be light and minimlist? Pal has one of the 6 cylider Beemers and its humungous. No way could he ever lift it if he dropped it. The OPs new bike is 350kg!!
