I had one of the latest 911 Turbo S cars as a loan car for a couple of weeks recently.
The best analogy I can think of is it was like using Red Rum to do Donkey rides on the beach.
Theres nowhere to use the performance, & it spent 99.9999% of the time at about 950rpm the other 0.0001% seemed to be at 7000rpm if you did more than tickle the accelerator. Only got about 18mpg out of it as well.
I never bettered 12 to15mpg out of my 930 with a very light foot and on one notable spirited motorway drive in heavy traffic forever accelerating up and down the box between 2 and 3rd.......got just over 5 mpg.
