Or in other words the American elections.

In something of a cliff hanger it seems that Biden is on course to be the next POTUS.

As far as I can see he is far enough ahead that even a recount in some states will not alter the outcome. Of the States that really are still marginal for Biden there are Georgia, Pennsylvania and Nevada. Of these he surely must win at least one and, if I understand the rather strange electoral system, any one of them would give him the win. Any two would make him virtually unassailable.

It seems one of those very strange things that happen in elections that despite the Democrats gaining ground in the Presidential race they are tied in the Senate with 4 seats yet to be decided and the Republicans, whilst still behind, are gaining in the house with 29 seats yet to be decided.

How ironic it would be if the President was a Democrat, Biden, who had to cope with both a hostile Senate and a hostile House.
