The ones you make look like a good solution to me. In order to get the right height of the bump stop brackets I would need to find the shock position when it is fully compressed and add the height of the rubber block when being compressed, right?

Yep, got me and the mrs stood in the rear footwells and put the bumpstops about 10mm about the axle (ish) at this point. The ones I used are from an Alfa Romeo 105 and are fairly progressive.

Rog is on the forum and he makes bump stop that bolt on to the hoop on modern Mogs.
