Great idea. I had to glue my seal recently, and used some off cuts of wood I had lying around which were a perfect fit. Spring pegs would have allowed a more precise hold.
I have some tiny G cramps I intend to use for same job. This will allow greater pressure than pegs whilst glue dries.
