My Aero S4 Chassis Plus 8 was serviced a couple of weeks back by Williams.
Including the MOT, and repairing the bracket that goes from the front of the bonnet hinge to the front bulkhead, the total bill was £560.44, including VAT.
I consider that to be very, very, reasonable.
I suggested changing the brake fluid, but after testing the fluid in the reservoir and from a front caliper they said it wasn't needed as the moisture level was very low. Interestingly, trads with rear drums do seem to collect moisture and the fluid life is 3 to 4 years.
I also asked about changing the LSD fluid and was advised that as I don't do track work the diff doesn't do much slipping and the fluid should be OK.
The question remains about the ATF: BMW say it is "sealed for life"...yes, really. But a similar 6 speed box made in the same German factory and fitted to a Mercedes requires changing at 100,000km/60,000 miles.
Anyway, the car is running perfectly, a number of creaks and rattles have gone, probably because the front centre of the bonnet is now properly secured.
