I well remember Colin (Spanner Juggler) replacing Ken's (not seen him post for quite a while - UVK33N?) king pins at around the 80k mile mark. The wear (Devol bushes) was horrendous. However, one must bear in mind that the standard MoT check has the front of the car lifted slightly (wheel off the ground), putting the stub axles at one end of the KP, outside of the main wear region.

I agree on the MOT guy but surely an MMC dealer would also check the king pins & understand about the effect of tyres on or off the ground?
