I think its likely to be the other way round. As Toto himself had the honesty to say on interview, it was a team f*** up. Bottas was well beaten by Russel who really demonstrated his ability in every area. In a way, today was to his long term advantage because the team mess up forced him to show skills that wouldnt have been obvious in a no problem trundle round.

Perez was lucky being gifted the race by Toto. That said he is better than Lance but wrong choice of father. .

Having just watched the race on C4 I agree with you and I really hope Perez gets a drive next year somehow.

I do think Bottas has lost his Mojo though in much the same way Vettel has this year.

It was a proper nail biter though I really enjoyed it, pity Max and Leclerc shot themselves in the foot though we could have had even more excitement with them in the mix.
