Certainly we are failing. At 2 1/2 Max has all the powers of concentration that you might expect of any teenager so he wil;l do what you tell him in the house and in the garden, but anywhere else ;life is all about smells, birds, and cats. Goes absolutely nuts if he sees a cat and I havent a clue what we can do about it.


Maybe try encouraging Max to develop other interests.
