Can you still use LED sidelights with Halogen main bulbs? MOT wise I mean.
Or are all LEDs banned in the headlamp cowl?
I don't see why not Bob. There is no leglslation for such to my knowledge and its generally of such low luminance compared to main headlamps. Remember also the side light fittings limit the power of LED equivalents.
Not halogen, but to give like for like comparison my dedicated E marked LED headlamps on main beam draw 48 watts, the integrated LED sidelight function draws just one watt though. Despite this they offer more chance of me being seen in marginal daylight conditions compared to the joke OE filament bulbs.
