Tarka was supplied with a bonnet belt.
I asked williams to remove it and sell it for me.
Why?
I really do not like the look... I may be an outlier in this respect....
Past experience is that if the bonnet isn't secured it just bounces about, flapping up and down as the air is allowed out, making a lot of noise.
It isn't going to fly up like a tin top bonnet... unless the front hinge mount fails.
Which, as it is a Morgan, is always possible, I suppose.
The bracket that holds the front of the hinge to. the bodywork failed on mine, a fatigue crack. MMC couldn't supply a new one so a fish plate was made to hold the bits together.
So even with that failure the bonnet stayed shut.
