We must try and do it sometime, we said that after Portaloo visited a couple of years ago but we really must, a couple of my old Decca colleagues Jack Goldstone and Mike Goodey (both Hams) did that, they both were stationed on St Marys for many years at the South West British Chain Green Slave on would you believe Telegraph Hill the very place itself
That site was one of my favourite engineering visits and so welcoming, sadly they both passed away into the ether many years back now, I was on site when we decomissioned and felled the "165' Tee array" not a joyful day, but a very lively evening in The Mermaid that night.
