On a similar note, I had the “we’re phoning about your recent accident” call, just prior to lockdown.
Being bored I responded with “good gracious, that’s incredible, it was so recent, I’m impressed you have the information”
The tone of the voice of the caller immediately perked up.
Eventually he asked the “we have the information, but can you give me your version of the event?”
I then explained about the new kitchen knife I had purchased and how I’d sliced my finger.
He swore and hung up!
