Remember, the filter needs to be oiled occasionally which will retard the absorption of water. I just reoiled my filter this past summer. I did have a rain sock fitted but decided to remove it because I was concerned it was affecting the air flow through the filter. They say it doesn’t but subjectively I feel the engine runs better without it.

It seems to have all the properties of a K&N filter and i bet the cleaner and oil spray for the K&N will work just fine. I have had no problems with it. The biggest problem I had was getting the filter soaked with oil from the CamChest.
