As a matter of interest, with your skills why did you not fit the isolator key under the dashboard rather than having to take the hood off every time?
As Dab of Oppo observed, it is under the dash, near the steering column. Easily accessed when standing beside the car, or when sitting in the drivers seat. But pretty much invisible to the casual observer, especially when off or with the key removed.
BTW- my bonnet is center hinged, so getting underneath it would not be a chore at all.
