You are right Bitsobrits, I have nothing but admiration for the Mazda gearbox as it is the only bit of the M3W, other than a seal as Dan mentions, that is never mentioned, it works perfectly with no problems🤞. I was referring to all the other bits, Compensator, Clutch, Bevel Box, Belt Drive when I mentioned the fragile transmission, not the Mazda gearbox.
