Seems to happen quite often. In the past 12 months I had an invisible M3W...
1) Two lanes appoaching a junction with traffic lights, both lanes full of traffic, red light: white van in L lane pulled out into my (R) lane as traffic lights in front of us turned green and I was accelerating past. Emergency brake. Clearly I was in his blind spot!
2) In traffic, queueing, on a road with a road junction to the left, with other cars queueing to exit right ie the opposite direction to me. Traffic paused to let a let a car out from the junction and then accelerate past... to find the next car queuing decided to try and T bone me... full boot, car stepped sideways enough for the other car to miss...
Of course usually the M3W is too visible. In Spain at a junction waiting to turn L onto a main road, a car on the main road braked and slowed down as it passed in front of me... only to be rear-ended by a faster car with less interest...
