Thanks for your replies guys, I don't like the look of these panels and feel it give it a bit of a "work in progress" look to the cockpit. Plus it leaves alloy oxide marking on the side of my seats, they're not visible - but I know they're there

Good point Alistair, I've just got some sound and heat proofing to do the floors and any other bare bits I can reach. I'm up with Techniques for a service & MOT soon, so will check it out with them.
